Thank you, Howick Pre-Primary parents!
The response to our interest page was wonderful. The pool is being sorted out as we speak, the heater is on its way, and the water will be fully heated to a minimum of 30°C before our very first lesson. Now that days, dates and pricing are confirmed, this page is for one thing: booking your little one's space for Term 4.
How the lessons work
Everything happens during the school morning, between 8.30 and 11.20am, Monday to Thursday, making it easier for parents who work full time.
Twice a Week, Small Groups
Two 30-minute lessons a week, either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Groups are kept small so every child gets personalised attention, and days and times stay the same all term.
A Dedicated Assistant
Our assistant fetches the children from their classrooms or play, helps them get changed, and settles them back afterwards. Your little one is looked after from start to finish.
A Warm, Heated Pool
The water is kept at a minimum of 30°C, so every swimmer is warm and comfortable in every single lesson, from the first week of term to the last.
In safe, experienced hands
Starrfish was established in 2001, which means we've been teaching little ones to swim for 25 years. We are fully accredited, and every member of our team holds the correct qualifications, first aid training, insurance and police clearance.

Every member of our team has a valid police clearance certificate.
Term dates
Each swimming term runs for 8 weeks, with 16 lessons in total.

2027 dates may shift slightly once the school calendar is finalised. We don't swim on public holidays. As a rule we don't make up missed lessons, but where a catch-up is possible we'll happily arrange one. We just can't guarantee it.
Parents are always welcome
You're welcome to pop in and watch your little one swim at any time during the term. And in the final week of each term we host a dedicated parents' week, where you can come along and join in the fun as we celebrate how far the children have come.

Your invoice follows
The R250 registration fee is payable on receipt of your invoice to secure your spot, and term fees are due by 1 October, ready for the first lesson on Monday 12 October.

Remember: every child swims twice a week, on set days. There are 3 options to choose from: Mon + Wed, Tue + Thu, or either. Please pick one in the days field.
Booking for more than one little swimmer? No need to fill in a new form for each child. Just pop all your children's details into the children's field.
Spots in each group are limited, and bookings are taken in the order they come in.
